This table describes same information about two strong winds. In this table there are two winds, hurricanes and tornadoes. Both of them destroy the land.
The minimum wind speed for the hurricanes is 74 pm but the tornadoes is less with 40 mph. Whereas the maximum wind speed of the hurricanes is 155 – 200 mph ,the maximum tornadoes speed is 250 – 300 mph which means that it is higher than that of a hurricane. On the other hand, the classification scale of the hurricanes is Saffir – Simpson C1 – C5 but for the tornadoes the Fujita F0 – F5. The duration of the hurricanes is 1 week average whereas tornadoes mostly only last a few minutes, same up to a few hours. However the average width of storm for the hurricanes is 300 miles but for the tornadoes 100 – 600 meters some up to 1.5 km wide. Hurricanes can be predicted 2-3 days in advance for a wide area but they can usually be predicted more exactly where they will hit 6 – 10 hours beforehand, whereas the tornadoes’ warning is 20 minutes or less. The last difference is where they start. The hurricanes start over worm oceans but the tornadoes usually over land.
